Map step

Use maps to transform data from one format to another, or more specifically, from one profile to another.

The Map step references a predefined Map component. When you configure a Map step, the Map step dialog opens. It contains the following fields.

1. In the General tab, enter the Display Name to describe the step If you do not enter the label, no label appears on the step

2. Click the Map field to choose an existing map component

   • Click the plus icon to add or edit a new map component

The Map step trims leading and trailing spaces from XML document data elements.

3. In the Notes tab, enter the Title of the map component

4. Enter the notes in the Note field

5. Click OK

Adding a map to a process

Add a Map step to a process to transform data from one profile to another.

1. Drag the Map step onto the process canvas. The Map step dialog opens

2. Enter a custom label

3. Select or create a Map component

4. Click OK
